FAQs
Why should I think about optimizing, activating and integrating my perception?
Our perception is partial and works in highly automated ways so we tend to rely on limited and habitual modes of perceiving. Such perceptual features helps us navigate our day with speed and efficiency, but they also keeps us locked into restricted modes of taking in and interpreting the world. What we see conditions how we think. New forms of perception will help us access novel insight.
How can looking at art make me more creative?
Enhancing sensory perception will help you gain a creative mindset because expanding on how you take in the world will provide you with access to additional information and new points of view. You’ll “reframe” and so gain a path to fresh ways of seeing, feeling and thinking.
How can your trainings help me manage my stress?
We have designed a set of perceptual tools such as our Embodied Seeing and our Somatic Connection techniques, that will help you tune into your body more deeply and so help you destress and renew your sense of wellbeing.
how can your workshops help me build my team?
Our workshops provide an “out-of-our-daily-life” space conducive to sharing in novel ways. Discussing how and what one perceives creates authentic dialogues. You become more aware of your own points of view and such discussions also provides a platform for groups to get to know each other in a new context, while practicing effective creative, communication and wellbeing perceptual strategies.
I don’t have any art experience, will i benefit from this training?
You don’t need any prior art experience as the trainings use looking at art as a medium to explore how we perceive. The sessions are designed for both those participants with and those without a knowledge of art.
are the trainings based on looking at art only or do you also engage in hands-on activities?
Looking at art is the foundation of our programs but we also use an extensive menu of hands-on perceptual activities to illustrate our perceptual keys.
I’m a scientist, why should I engage with COLORYU?
