The Art of Seeing trainings uses looking at and engaging with art as tools to enhance central observational skills. During our seminars and workshops participants explore in real time how they see in order to develop targeted perceptual, critical inquiry and self-awareness skills, crucial to personal and professional excellence.
The Art of Seeing offers highly interactive seminars and workshops based on its tested proprietary methods. They include the close exploration and perceptual analysis of art from the world’s great museums, guided participant-based discussions as well as hands-on art, writing, and observational exercises.

Our perceptual-art tools, focused around our three perceptual keys, help growth-oriented individuals and organizations move from sight to insight in order to access increased innovative thinking, communication and wellbeing skills.
The Art of Seeing methodology has been tested by leading academic institutions and their studies have found ameliorated reflection, observation, creativity, and empathy as well as decreased stress for the participants who took our courses.

FAQs
I don’t have any art experience, will i benefit from this training?
You don’t need any prior art experience as the trainings use looking at art as a medium to explore how we perceive. The sessions are designed for both those participants with and those without a knowledge of art.
are the trainings based on looking at art only or do you also engage in hands-on art activities?
Looking at art is the foundation of our programs but we also use an extensive menu of hands-on art activities to illustrate our perceptual keys. Such engagements include sketching, photography, and creative writing for which no prior art experience is necessary.
I’m a scientist, why should I engage with meta-seeing?
The Art of Seeing trainings help orient our perception in order to expand our capacity to see and better manage our attention and so the information which conditions our we think. In this way, our trainings provide tactics to access help fresh perspectives. Doing so is essential in terms of generating innovative thinking, which benefits professionals and individuals across fields.
How can looking at art help me build my team?
Our trainings support group cohesion by facilitating authentic communication among its members. Engaging with art provides a way of getting to know others in new ways given its setting, which stands apart from daily forms of engagement. Additionally, the neutral context of art offers a safe container for exploratory discussions.
I feel like I see most of what there is to see. Why should I think about developing the art of seeing?
Our seeing is partial and works in highly automated ways so we tend to rely on limited and habitual modes of looking. These perceptual features helps us navigate our day with speed and efficiency, but they also keeps us locked into restricted modes of perceiving. What we see conditions how we think. New forms of perception will help us access novel insight.
What does using art as a perceptual platform mean?
Art is used as a perceptual platform in the sense that participants interact with artworks to increase their capacity to observe. Yet in the process, they also become aware of their own perceptual processes in real time and so gain a meta-perception.
How can looking at art make me more creative?
Enhancing sensory perception will help you gain a creative mindset because expanding on how you perceive will provide you with a powerful path to open up to fresh ways of seeing, feeling and thinking.
How can your trainings help me manage my stress?
We have designed a set of perceptual tools based on the restoration of perception such as our Embodied Seeing and our Somatic Connection techniques, that will help you tune into your body more deeply and so help you access greater wellbeing and relaxation.
